It could be the trauma of shock as well.

The sad thing is that no one acknowledged that something amiss had occurred.

This happens ALL THE TIME in different ways and that is why it continues. Because no one speaks up.

And once you do, you are labeled forever.

Our false belief that we need each other is so significant that we would die before we would betray it.
