In lore, the first “garment” was leaves, an apron to cover the genitals. *Leaves, we know, notoriously die and are shed to return another season, hence a good representative of progeny.) On leaving the Garden, animal skins were given. I tend to go the other way when I think of this, not that I have pondered on it much before this chat. I suspect it is symbolic of the fact that we will become enamored with our physical presence and forget out true divine identity. That the ego will grow and become our identity i.e.. the body, which Jesus teaches is an idol, in the Course. Thus we take care of it over our true divinity. Just some thought. Thanks for sharing. #EgoEnslavement
