It seems to me that the photographer was taking an artists' liberty and found a photo that would portray what his opinion was of young American's at that time.

I would say that this tragedy did a lot to make people a bit more thankful for what they had.

Few of us did not lose someone or know someone who did that day.

Regarding the idea of apathy in the face of trauma we are still neck deep in that attitude. If this were not the case there would not be the trafficking problem that we have.

There are signs and there are people who know what is going on and may not participate but do not say anything and what would be done if you could not prove it accept get in trouble yourself

It will take a majjor shift in how we see ourselves to turn the tide and it coming as we are opening our eyes to the reality that we are a divine creation of God.

Not on the level that has been known in the past but on a personal level that brings God's Will to earth and releases all who feel lost.
