Jesus is also a part of all of creation as are we and is known to God, the Father as Christ, His Son.

You are correct though to say that Jesus was at the creation. Mormons teach that Jesus is the God of the Old Testament and I agree that the leadership role that God undertakes is done so by Jesus in the Old Testament because he is the Atonement by having been the first to see himself as Christ as well as all of creation and forgive the idea of separation from God.
