My thoughts* on ACIM, Lesson 199, WARNING; Graphic Sexual Descriptions and Triggers.
A very important lesson that Jesus says is to be remembered and cherished EVERY day.
.
I am not a body. I am free.
.
* This means that I am not bound by the dictates of the body. I am free to understand that God IS and that life is eternal and that Heaven is now.
* It does NOT mean that I have no interaction with the body, no sensations from the body, or no engagement with the body. Or other bodies.
.
1. Freedom must be impossible as long as you perceive a body as yourself. ²The body is a limit. ³Who would seek for freedom in a body looks for it where it can not be found. ⁴The mind can be made free when it no longer sees itself as in a body, firmly tied to it and sheltered by its presence. ⁵If this were the truth, the mind were vulnerable indeed!
.
* Yes! The way to find freedom is to know that you cannot be harmed and have all that there is at your disposal by the Will of a Heavenly Father that adores you. Does it get any better than that?
* However, you HAVE a body for the purpose of sharing the Love of the Father to the Son and the Love of the Son to the Father.
* The only way one truly knows they are not a body is IN the Atonement because there He meets God His Father and KNOWS He is LIKE Him, as is the rest of the Sonship.

2. The mind that serves the Holy Spirit is unlimited forever, in all ways, beyond the laws of time and space, unbound by any preconceptions, and with strength and power to do whatever it is asked. ²Attack thoughts cannot enter such a mind, because it has been given to the Source of love, and fear can never enter in a mind that has attached itself to love. ³It rests in God. ⁴And who can be afraid who lives in Innocence, and only loves?

* “…fear can never enter in a mind that has attached itself to love.” First of all, one must recognize that this is the Love of God. (IE “It rests in God.”) Second this has NOTHING to do with sexual/romantic love which is an addiction like eating. I suggest that it was not supposed to say “only loves” but “only Love.” At this point in time true love comes from God and only Him.

* I will also say that as long as we have a body that a form of fear IS possible even while we recognize it as the illusion that it is. It is like watching a very scary movie, we feel the emotional roller-coaster but we know the show will end because IT IS NOT REAL.
.
3. It is essential for your progress in this course that you accept today’s idea, and hold it very dear.
.
* ESSENTIAL, ESSENTIAL, ESSENTIAL, and hold it VERY DEAR, IMPORTANT, VALUABLE, FOREFRONT, BASIC, WITHOUT QUESTION.
.
²Be not concerned that to the ego it is quite insane. ³The ego holds the body dear because it dwells in it, and lives united with the home that it has made. ⁴It is a part of the illusion that has sheltered it from being found illusory itself.
.
* 4 I see as; “The BODY is a part of the illusion that has sheltered (or hidden) the EGO from being found OUT TO BE NOT REAL itself.
.
4. Here does it hide, and here it can be seen as what it is.
.
* I hear; “IN THE BODY (which is not “real”) does THE EGO hide, and IN THE BODY (which is still not real) can THE EGO be seen as what THE EGO is (IE UNREAL).
.
²Declare your innocence and you are free.
.
* Just acknowledge your innocence, let go of your guilt by acknowledging the complete forgiveness of Christ for the belief in separation from God and all that has come from that belief.
.
³The body disappears, because you have no need of it except the need the Holy Spirit sees.
.
* Okay, this SOUNDS fine and dandy but did you ever “just want to get LAID, LAYED, SCREWED, HUGGED with INTENT? WELL, what the HELL, you get the picture!!!
* Sorry, I’m just in one of those moods. Lol
* Now, here is the question that begs to be answered: Is there anything wrong with feeling like that? And the answer (I believe at this particular point in time.) Is NO!!!
* Now, what you do with the feeling and who you allow to direct the energy of that feeling IS IMPORTANT.
* Will it be the EGO who hides in the phony reality of the body? Or will it be the HOLY SPIRIT who knows what the purpose of your body is? Which happens to be to show (communicate) the LOVE of GOD to the SON and to Himself.
* Will it be the EGO who decides it is okay to bed 68 women whom he had called mother and to rape a twelve year old girl in front of them in an inner-most sanctuary and Holy of Holies within a so-called temple as the leader of a “renegade Mormon church”, the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint,” Warren Steed Jeffs has done and THEN ALLOWED to CONTINUE to lead this “church” from inside his prison walls IS NOT WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY HERE.
.
* (That he is allowed to run his “church” from inside his prison walls could not be because of the MONEY that he and his father have panhandled from hundreds, maybe thousands of people, could it?!? And those of us who tolerate that are equally in our “hidden ego” rather than with the Holy Spirit as the man who put his rod where it had NO business in that twelve year old virgin. We tolerate laws that are dysfunctional because we BELIEVE in bodies instead of GOD. Heaven Fuckin’ Forbid we believe in God and SET THESE CHILDREN FREE!!!)
.
⁴For this, the body will appear as useful form for what the mind must do.
.
* The body is capable of going to polls and demanding that laws fit the crime and preserve the safety and dignity of ALL of the innocents, not just the “CRIMINALLY” innocent.
.
⁵It thus becomes a vehicle which helps forgiveness be extended to the all-inclusive goal that it must reach, according to God’s plan.
.
* Do you get the message here? We currently protect the criminal because he serves the ego’s guilty conscience but we punish the victims, YES, I said that word, victims with our pious social stigmas and shunnings that are exclusive and abusive. We would rather free the adulterer or rapist than console the innocent spouse or child. THIS is not the teaching of Jesus of Nazareth in the Bible and other sacred books, including A Course In Miracles.
.
* The “all-inclusive goal” is that of uniting the Christ Consciousness in the witness of God, the Father, and itself as the Son. Worthy of all that the Father has and is. That criminals might be rehabilitated by doing work that serves themselves and others with healthy boundaries that prevent further injury to society.
.
* NONE of this is possible without a recognition of the Atonement by the MAJORITY or at least a STRONG (by this I mean solid in the Atonement) minority of the Sonship that is currently in human form on the earth. Which would be able to see all of creation as ONE under the DIVINE PROTECTION and Authority of God not faulty laws.
.
* Did you catch the final phrase of that sentence? “⁵It thus becomes a vehicle which helps forgiveness be extended to the all-inclusive goal that it must reach, according to God’s plan.” According to God’s plan, not humanities. God MUST be permitted to have a Voice here and now on the earth.
.
5. Cherish today’s idea, and practice it today and every day.
.
* This is important! These things I have spoken to in the lesson reach much further into the consciousness of Christ and how our lives play out here than ANY quantum physics mumbo-jumbo hyperbole that does not address the here and now in our state of confusion.
.
* Let’s repeat “⁴For this, the body will appear as useful form for what the mind must do.” The body will function at least in appearance “for what the mind ~which we understand IS real~ must do.”
.
²Make it a part of every practice period you take. ³There is no thought that will not gain thereby in power to help the world, and none which will not gain in added gifts to you as well.
.
* Please understand that body has a useful purpose from the mind that is given over to the Holy Spirit for God’s plan.
.
⁴We sound the call of freedom round the world with this idea.
.
* Freedom around the world.
.
⁵And would you be exempt from the acceptance of the gifts you give?
.
* Your freedom, as well.
.
6. The Holy Spirit is the home of minds that seek for freedom.
.
* I LOVE THIS! “The Holy Spirit is the home of minds that seek for freedom.” Of course! This is why when fully in the Atonement one is in Heaven and in God’s Presence Eternally! Wow! That’s cool! :)
.
²In Him they have found what they have sought. ³The body’s purpose now is unambiguous.
.
* Unambiguous; not open to more than one interpretation:”instructions should be unambiguous”
* The body no longer has a double meaning. It is the vessel of expression of God’s Love to His Son under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It is the last part there (under the direction of the Holy Spirit) that makes it so that sexual expression is not used helter-skelter).
.
* How often is sex used as a power play or possession game? How often is it used to claim exclusivity instead of the sharing of the universal wholeness of God’s Son? Jesus says “If two come together in full faith the whole universe goes with them.” ******** We are speaking about what happens in the mind here. It is not an advertisement for universal orgies. Which I kind of suspect that ACIM HAS been used for in some circles.

⁴And it becomes perfect in the ability to serve an undivided goal.
.
* And the BODY becomes perfect in the ability to serve an undivided goal of FREEDOM for ALL.
.
⁵In conflict-free and unequivocal response to mind with but the thought of freedom as its goal, the body serves, and serves its purpose well.
.
* Freedom, not free-sex you sillies! The body serves FREEDOM for all, and SERVES THAT purpose well.
.
⁶Without the power to enslave, it is a worthy servant of the freedom which the mind within the Holy Spirit seeks.
.
* The body will not enslave anything or anyone if it is ruled by a mind that is led by the Holy Spirit.
.
* Free to know God and have an expression of life as the mind is directed by the Holy Spirit. The problem comes when humanity determines to decide what other body’s can or cannot do with their ego-led minds.
.
7. Be free today.
.
* Free from the ego that seeks your destruction.
.
²And carry freedom as your gift to those who still believe they are enslaved within a body.
.
* You will be shown how to do this by the Holy Spirit.
.
³Be you free, so that the Holy Spirit can make use of your escape from bondage, to set free the many who perceive themselves as bound and helpless and afraid. ⁴Let love replace their fears through you.
.
* Let God’s Love replace their fears through you. Only God is REAL in that sense right now and in this way you and I are NOT until we become the vessels for God’s Love because God is our Creator and His Essence, however you want to define that, is WHAT we are.
.
⁵Accept salvation now, and give your mind to Him Who calls to you to make this gift to Him. ⁶For He would give you perfect freedom, perfect joy, and hope that finds its full accomplishment in God.
.
* This is the statement that is calling out to me at this time, “⁵Accept salvation now, and give your mind to Him Who calls to you to make this gift to Him.”
* To be willing to trust that God speaks and acts through you to show His Love is a phenomenal thing!
.
* People do not accept that. Not even those who consider themselves “spiritual.” In fact, you will be accused of being in your “ego”. You will be told “the ego is ruling you” if you do not behave in their predetermined understanding of what some quote or guru says.
.
* We really can let God take the reigns instead of the ego.
.
8. You are God’s Son.
.
* Yes, every one of you, along with all of creation.
.
²In immortality you live forever.
.
* Immortality is a “done deal”. No magic potion required.
.
³Would you not return your mind to this?
.
* It is only an act of remembering! And we understand this by listening to that still small voice inside of us that knows who we are and is not cannibalizing us, like the ego does, rather restores our awareness to our true selves.
.
⁴Then practice well the thought the Holy Spirit gives you for today. ⁵Your brothers stand released with you in it; the world is blessed along with you, God’s Son will weep no more, and Heaven offers thanks for the increase of joy your practice brings even to it.
.
* Our decision to remember with the Holy Spirit increases the joy in Heaven. Think about that.
.
⁶And God Himself extends His Love and happiness each time you say:
.
* God IS, people! God is the only true reality at the moment.
.
⁷I am not a body.
.
* This means that I am not bound by the dictates of the body. I am free to understand that God IS and that life is eternal and that Heaven is now.
* It does NOT mean that I have no interaction with the body, no sensations from the body, or no engagement with the body. Or other bodies.
.
⁸I am free. ⁹I hear the Voice that God has given me, and it is only this my mind obeys.
.
