My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 286 for 13 October 2023.
The hush of Heaven holds my heart today.
* “The hush of Heaven” reminds me of a cooing lullaby of a grateful parent.
* Yes, IN THE ATONEMENT this is to be found. But not in the midst of this ego-manifested chaos. We walk in TWO PLACES in our minds because our minds are united with the Holy Spirit because once we FORGIVE the WHOLE of CHRIST for any belief in the possibility of separation from God.
1. Father, how still today!
* Breathe.
²How quietly do all things fall in place!
* IN THE ATONEMENT. To think that happens anywhere else is to believe the lies and tricks of the ego.
³This is the day that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything.
* I do not do anything because the “I” in me that I think that I am is made up. That which I truly am is able to make the decision to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and then “step aside” as the Holy Spirit moves through me.
⁴In You is every choice already made.
⁵In You has every conflict been resolved.
⁶In You is everything I hope to find already given me.
* All of these things I am able to rest in with confidence. I also know it is given to everyone else and this helps with the peace that passes all understanding here.
⁷Your peace is mine.
⁸My heart is quiet, and my mind at rest.
⁹Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine.
* Yes it is, but TO GET THERE without forgiving the whole Sonship and allowing the Spirit to direct me is just another fantasy.
2. The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way, and travelled far along it to a wholly certain goal.
²Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us.
³We trust in Him, and in our Self, Who still is one with Him.
