My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 298 for 25 October 2023. I AM God’s and God IS Mine
I love You, Father, and I love Your Son.
* Which came first the chicken or the egg? IN THIS CASE, we KNOW it is the FATHER. I love the Father because I am a part of the Son Whom God, the Father Created with and FROM Love.
1. My gratitude permits my love to be accepted without fear.
* THIS gratitude is not apparent without the True Forgiveness of the Atonement which forgives the Original Error of belief in separation from God.
* We extend gratitude to the Son for offering the same True Forgiveness in the Atonement and to the Father for allowing that the Atonement was present along with creation.
²And thus am I restored to my reality at last.
* Through the Atonement and IN NO OTHER WAY.
³All that intruded on my holy sight forgiveness takes away.
* NO WAY. IT SEES IT AS UNREAL BUT IT WILL NOT TAKE IT AWAY UNTIL WE ALL ACCEPT THE ATONEMENT.
⁴And I draw near the end of senseless journeys, mad careers and artificial values.
* I still have to let go of the ingrained habits, traditions, and behaviors that take me down these dead end roads.
⁵I accept instead what God establishes as mine, sure that in that alone I will be saved; sure that I go through fear to meet my Love.
* This I can do in the witness and presence of the Holy Spirit who resides with me once I have accepted the Atonement and given up any idea that I can see myself through this nonsense at all.
2. Father, I come to You today, because I would not follow any way but Yours. ²You are beside me. ³Certain is Your way. ⁴And I am grateful for Your holy gifts of certain sanctuary, and escape from everything that would obscure my love for God my Father and His holy Son.
