I will not hurt myself again today.

* I choose not to accept the story of suffering, death, or loss as my truth. And I live in the witness that all that I see that is real is Christ, the Son of God and in the protection and care of the Father.

*Then I do my best to share the Love that God has shown me in the way that the Holy Spirit inspires me.

1. Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function.

* Do not make this a daily task. Forgive the belief in Christ’s separation from God. Then follow the promptings of the Spirit in the undoing of habits that profess separation. Living in the present and trusting God aids this process. Tearing up contracts that teach lessons of separation helps.

* To tell yourself that you must forgive is to keep the NEED of FORGIVENESS ever present and it does not belong there. We want to see the world as forgiven and in God’s Presence NOW.

* This means we have faith and trust in both God and the Son and then we listen and watch for the promptings and signs from the Holy Spirit that lights our way. “I,” as a gentled ego, must get out of the way for this to occur. Rather than being a subservient position it is one of great honor to observe the Hand of God in one’s life. It is a “different” role than the one we typically think of as being ours. It has a feminine quality to it as one is observer, yielding, and receiving the gratification of the Presence of God both within and in the experience of the physical world.

²Why should we attack our minds, and give them images of pain?

* Let me hold the witness of innocence of the Son of God even as I must be willing to witness the ego’s attempts to control through its various cults that attempt to separate and divide us. This I may have to do within my own mind even as I separate my body or attention from the temptations of the ego-voice that declares they are suffering, and that I am the “only one” who can “save” them. It is the siren call of illusion and bears no fruit in the Reality that is God.

³Why should we teach them they are powerless, when God holds out His power and His Love, and bids them take what is already theirs?

* Course students often confuse the issue of existence as an individual within the Body of Christ Consciousness. This statement’s use of the plural says to me that we are one in union not isolation or division.

* “Ego” and “I” are interchangeable words to me. I will not see the frightened ego as the devil that needs to be avoided or eliminated because that would make him real. Rather, I turn the ego over willingly to the manipulations of the Holy Spirit so that it may be gentled and shown that God is a loving being and that no harm could or can be done at His Hand and that only His Hand is real or deserves my devotion.

* The question is this speaking of “I” as the Whole of Christ or is it “I” as debi? Here again I feel that the finite is equal to the infinite that is Christ as All That Is or every will be. I do not choose to be afraid of this.

* It is easy to see that this would have been very confusing for Helen and Bill, as well as Ken and Judy.

* Ultimately there is only one Mind of Christ though each of us as humans and all conscious beings are incorporated therein.

* I know it seems crazy but that is only because the frightened ego that Christ made when He thought that separation from God was possible feeds us insane attitudes.

⁴The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts has been restored to spirit, and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its own.

* “Restored to spirit.” To me this means that it has been made aware that it is a part of a Whole that was given Life by the Original Source of All that Is, even God.

⁵The Self which God created cannot sin, and therefore cannot suffer.

* Accepted. Then I am able to step into the joy that is existence and not be attached to the suffering that appears to be so prevalent all about me.

⁶Let us choose today that He be our Identity, and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us.

* This does not mean that what we see has no meaning. It means that God must be first in what we are or rather in what we believe we are. Expansion is a given part of existence because God gave this to us.

2. Father, Your Son can not be hurt. ²And if we think we suffer, we but fail to know our one Identity we share with You. ³We would return to It today, to be made free forever from all our mistakes, and to be saved from what we thought we were.

* To do this is not to lose ANYTHING but to have it changed to God’s Perfection from which it COULD NEVER HAVE STRAYED.

* This is difficult to understand when we choose to see ourselves separate from Father and alone in our capacity TO understand.

* Thus the reason that the undoing/atoning complete forgiveness of the Son of God must be applied before one can even think of being in one’s “right mind.”
