My thoughts* on ACIM Urtext Lesson 56, for February 25, 2024.
Our review for today covers the following:
1. (26) My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.
* I AM invulnerable because God is my Creator!
* AND FOR NO OTHER REASON.
²How can I know who I am when I see myself as under constant attack?
* I will still see the attack or attempted intrusion on personal boundaries, but I will understand that it is not a REAL threat to what I am and that it is a cry for help to remember who they are and Who God Is.
³Pain, illness, loss, age and death seem to threaten me.
⁴All my hopes and wishes and plans appear to be at the mercy of a world I cannot control.
* This has appeared to be so real in my life yet my faith in God has shown me that these things could not be my true desire for my only desire is that God BE God.
⁵Yet perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance.
* And for those who consider themselves empaths it may be important to remember that this applies to everyone else as well; perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance.
⁶I have tried to give my inheritance away in exchange for the world I see.
* WE have thought to deliver ourselves from the Love of God by claiming His separation or nonexistence.
⁷But God has kept my inheritance safe for me.
⁸My own real thoughts will teach me what it is.
* It is the birthright of the fullness of the Power of God, yet it is only experienced as a Whole and not fully as a part of Christ. This means that I sense that I need do my part in accepting the Atonement.
* Atonement is where your heart and mind have agreed to FREE all of creation, including yourself, from ANY responsibility of the consequences of the momentary idea that separation from God and one another was possible.
* This removes the need to compete or prove anything.
No justification is needed to validate your existence because having faith leads to confidence and ultimately KNOWING that God EXISTS is the ONLY Validation that you need.
2. (27) Above all else I want to see.
* Yes, but I MUST acknowledge that I want to see as God Does because He is the Creator of All That Is, therefore His View is the ONLY One that Matters or Has Validity/True Value.
²Recognizing that what I see reflects what I think I am, I realize that vision is my greatest need.
³The world I see attests to the fearful nature of the self-image I have made.
* From the Atonement, you are able to acknowledge that the “you” or “I” spoken of here is the Whole of Christ’s Consciousness and not a tiny piece of the Whole.
⁴If I would remember who I am, it is essential that I let this image of myself go.
⁵As it is replaced by truth, vision will surely be given me.
⁶And with this vision, I will look upon the world and on myself with charity and love.
* BECAUSE I will SEE As God Sees!
3. (28) Above all else I want to see differently.
* Amen. I want to let God Exist and know that NOTHING can be outside of Him and that I AM NOT NOTHING.
²The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance.
* This is “the world” that I see outside of God. And, believe me, there is a part of you that knows that He exists or you could have no thought or awareness at all, even if it is covered so deep that you cannot consciously see it.
³While I see the world as I see it now, truth cannot enter my awareness.
* This statement has NO PLACE in TRUTH once you have accepted the Final Judgment and Forgiveness of the Atonement.
⁴I would let the door behind this world be opened for me, that I may look past it to the world that reflects the Love of God.
* PLEASE HEAR THIS: There is a “… world that reflects the Love of God.”
4. (29) God is in everything I see.
* Amen. That which I see without judgment that is. When my judgment is there (and not that which the Holy Spirit shares with me) I am not seeing God.
*Please read both of the above statements slowly. “God is in everything I see.” And “That which I see without judgment that is. When my judgment is there (and not that which the Holy Spirit shares with me) I am not seeing God.” God MUST acknowledged as REAL before He will be seen in All That Is.
²Behind every image I have made, the truth remains unchanged.
* Recall that an “image” is made when we place our judgment on anything instead of letting the Vision of the Holy Spirit be our witness to anything at all.
³Behind every veil I have drawn across the face of love, its light remains undimmed.
* Think about the word veil that Jesus uses here. The veil that keeps us from the Presence of God in the Celestial Kingdom where God, Himself dwells. ~ Yes, I am thinking of the experiences in the Mormon (LDS) Temples that I have been in.
* Christ is responsible for putting the veil here before us all. I, as part of the Body of Christ, do my part in removing the veil as I step into the Atonement and walk with the Full Guidance of the Holy Spirit.
⁴Beyond all my insane wishes is my will, united with the Will of my Father.
* I am One With God and gratefully so.
⁵God is still everywhere and in everything forever.
* Amen, and so it is Eternally.
⁶And we who are part of Him will yet look past all appearances, and recognize the truth beyond them all.
* Thank you, thank you, thank you!
5. (30) God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.
* Yes, God is even the Mind with Which I think. (Oops, that is in a future lesson, I think. But doesn’t it fit here lovely?!!)
²In my own mind, behind all my insane thoughts of separation and attack, is the knowledge that all is one forever.
³I have not lost the knowledge of Who I am because I have forgotten it.
⁴It has been kept for me in the Mind of God, Who has not left His Thoughts.
* Think about the principle Jesus teaches that our thoughts do not leave us nor we our thoughts. This is a principle and phenomenon that “grows” within our understanding as we are able to allow God’s Existence into our psyche once more, however tiny or doubtful that allowance may be.
⁵And I, who am among them, am one with them and one with Him.
* “Thoughts” as used in number four above means you and I.
* In other words, I am one with all and everything, and one with God, Himself, as are All Others and everything that is Real.

Till next time, God bless, debi.
