My thoughts* on Workbook Lesson 257, for September 13, 2024. Let me remember what my purpose is.
Let me remember what my purpose is.
1. If I forget my goal I can be but confused, unsure of what I am, and thus conflicted in my actions.
²No one can serve contradicting goals and serve them well.
³Nor can he function without deep distress and great depression.
* See, this is what I DO NOT HAVE and it frustrates and confuses people. But that is because they do not see God as their PROVIDER but themselves or maybe CHRIST. But Christ WITHOUT the FATHER IS STILL EGO. And a VERY DANGEROUS one at that!
⁴Let us therefore be determined to remember what we want today, that we may unify our thoughts and actions meaningfully, and achieve only what God would have us do this day.
*YES.
2. Father, forgiveness is Your chosen means for our salvation.
²Let us not forget today that we can have no will but Yours.
* Some of us can agree on this point. What we disagree on is what forgiveness LOOKS LIKE in FORM.
* BELIEVE IT OR NOT, FORGIVENESS allows for witnessing of and correcting the error, not denying that something has not occurred or that it has no impact TODAY. In part we do acknowledge that it simply could NEVER HAVE BEEN, but that does not mean that it does not hurt others or have an impact on those who must still remain in Ego Ville, either by delusion or by witness that God IS and that His Son Is Innocent.
* GRANTED, it may not impact our FUTURE or ETERNITY or the nature of who we are, but Jesus does say that things must be corrected at the level at which they became an error and that is here in Ego Ville where the fantasies of separation from God have been played out.
* We want to be willing to see that our condemning others who have made mistakes may hurt OURSELVES more than them. We WANT to be willing to look at judgments we make toward others when we believe what KING JAMES and HIS SUPPORTERS taught us about THERE BEING THOSE WHO HAVE A RIGHT ORDAINED AND SUPPORTED BY GOD TO RULE OVER OTHERS.
³And thus our purpose must be Yours as well, if we would reach the peace You will for us.
* YES, the release of the fantasies brought on by belief in the possibility of separation from God.
