My thoughts* on Workbook Lesson 330 for November 24, 2024. I will not hurt myself again today.

I will not hurt myself again today.

* I do not have to, regardless of what comes my way in the “story” or how my emotions roll.

* And when I eat it is because I LIKE TO EAT, and I give thanks that my body expels anything that is not needful. I LIKE my body the way it is, even though everything about society says “hate, hate, hate.” I can even enjoy various body shapes and forms that I interact with. This brings me joy as well.

1. Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function.

* “Function,” okay, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS FORM BECAUSE YOU WILL DO AS PROMPTED BY GOD THROUGH SPIRIT WITHIN.

²Why should we attack our minds, and give them images of pain?

³Why should we teach them they are powerless, when God holds out His power and His Love, and bids them take what is already theirs?

⁴The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts has been restored to spirit, and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its own.

⁵The Self which God created cannot sin, and therefore cannot suffer.

⁶Let us choose today that He be our Identity, and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us.

* This “Self” can be seen as our individual soul and as Christ as a Whole and it helps to remember this and apply the concepts to both of them (individually and universally).

2. Father, Your Son can not be hurt.

* In REALITY, though Jesus says quite clearly more than once in the Course that you are able to be hurt brutally in the delusion and that it is done by all as we support the belief in separation from God.

²And if we think we suffer, we but fail to know our one Identity we share with You.

* It will take time for us to “wean ourselves off” of the need to suffer. At least in the “stories.” SPIRIT will help us with this instant by wholly instant. We each have the responsibility to go through how ever many experiences we have signed up for and REMEMBER who we truly are as God’s Son.

³We would return to It today, to be made free forever from all our mistakes, and to be saved from what we thought we were.

* THIS IS HEAVEN. It is NOT A PLACE. It is a KNOWING, where we know God’s Presence and Guidance and LIFE THROUGH US WHO CELEBRATE EXISTENCE AND GOD’S REALITY WITH ALL THAT IS.
