Quite so! Jesus said give them what they want. I always found that verse curious. I remember it is a very short verse. I am surprised that those who mangled the teachings of Jesus allowed it to be in the King James Version. Tried to look the verse up but I failed to find it. I recall it though.

I like the concept of “do unto others what you would have them do to you” because it invites us to look at what we wish for ourselves. If we could see behind the smoke and mirrors we would see that we desire to suffer because of a belief in a false accusation that we have left the presence or goodwill of God.

That is why nothing but a complete release of what seems real in this world will deliver us from our own insanity. Blessings.

PS

As far as being able to give to others what they want, the sad truth is that they do not know what they want. What is left is to reach inside ourselves and be faithful to the reality that love, peace, and joy are our natural state and to embrace that for ourselves so that others can see it and desire it for themselves. This is what I understand to be the stance of the atonement as well as places like Nirvana and enlightenment.

Thank you for your comments and your obvious interest in the welfare of humanity.
