Using Mama’s Christmas Carol, You Got the Power, Mom! By Debra (Debi) Yvonne Simmons (found on Amazon)
The first thought this week is of Abundance. That means this is how we truly receive Abundance for ourselves and others:
1. Compassion must be used in all things. However, remember that actual assistance cannot be forced on others, nor will it be forced on us. Even though, eventually, we all will receive it.
Jesus teaches in Urtext ACIM that “Responding to ANY form of miscreation with anything EXCEPT a DESIRE TO HEAL (or a miracle) is an expression of this confusion.” Urtext ACIM pg. 73
Anything that is not of love is miscreation. To desire to heal is the only way to respond.
Definition for compassion:
sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.”the victims should be treated with compassion”synonyms:pity · sympathy · feeling · fellow feeling · empathy · understanding · care · concern · solicitude · solicitousness · sensitivity · tender-heartedness · soft-heartedness · warm-heartedness · warmth · love · brotherly love · tenderness · gentleness · mercy ·
We want to have compassion for other’s, and our own, suffering and desire to help. This is done even as we feel this, once we have accepted the Atonement for ourselves.
