What We Are Seeking Is a Relationship With God

1. Our witness of Heavenly Father brings others theirs.

7. The miracle is the act of a Son of God who has laid aside all false gods, and calls on his brothers to do likewise. ²It is an act of faith, because it is the recognition that his brother can do it. ³It is a call to the Holy Spirit in his mind, a call that is strengthened by joining. ⁴Because the miracle worker has heard God’s Voice, he strengthens It in a sick brother by weakening his belief in sickness, which he does not share. ⁵The power of one mind can shine into another, because all the lamps of God were lit by the same spark. ⁶It is everywhere and it is eternal.

(ACIM, T-10.IV.7:1–6)

This speaks of our interactions. The miracle that leads to the holy instant where we see the world as God created His Son and that shines the light on the gateway to Heaven.

The “act of faith” is “the recognition” that “our brother can do it”. It is making the “call to the HS in his mind,” “strengthened by joining.” “One mind can shine into another”, “all lamps (minds/lights) were lit by the same spark.”

All of this acknowledges “asking God” BECAUSE ONLY IF we are doing this do we still trust the inner voice of confirmation that comes BY the Holy Spirit, no matter who it comes through.

In other words, you can be the voice of God for someone just as they can be it for you and you will understand this by that voice within that tells you that you are worthy and so are your brothers and sisters everywhere.

2. Receiving the Atonement for Christ within ourselves and all of creation is our primary task and leads to acceptance of eternal life.

Atonement is the undoing of the idea of separation from God, self, or each other. It brings our awareness of God into our minds and hearts because the Holy Spirit is then welcome there since He is the witness of Christ and of the Father.

We do not have to wait any time at all once doing this for God to reach out and draw us unto Him. What can happen is that we are not willing to believe that it could happen and discount it. The Holy Spirit will remain with us to gently show us that God is there.

3. It is right for you to have a concern for all of creation.

Being aware that all of creation is connected is a huge step in the right direction and that happens with the acceptance of the Atonement.

Then we want to look at just what we are thinking about how it is we might best serve our fellow man.

It is important to remember that they do have access to the same Holy Spirit that we do, they may just choose to ignore Him at this time.

Then, while we can “help” as we are prompted by the Holy Spirit we want to remember that suffering is part of how we get to a place to be willing to receive the Atonement and while we would like to take away all suffering from others we want to do so with the promptings of the Holy Spirit Who knows all things because we may be making things worse by stepping in, even if it leads to tragic circumstances.

I know that goes against everything that “decency” and “the church” teaches but we need to step back and understand that Heavenly Father does have a plan in place AND that He is aware of and taking care of His children according to His knowledge of who they are as He made them and according to their personality and timing of when they choose to return to Him. God will not force His children to accept Him and their inheritance.

He knows that would not serve them and would not allow them to have respect for themselves if He were to do so.

4. Depression

Ouch!

This one hurts. It was in last week's reading as well.

When it comes to wanting to be of service to others we want to understand that the best thing that we can do is be at peace with ourselves.

Depression is a thing of the world; the illusion.

Heaven is here but it is above the illusion because it has a perspective that includes God and His Son as God created Him, not as He believes He created Himself.

The full forgiveness of the Atonement prepares us to step into the Arms of God where we KNOW who we are despite any story that is being played out here. This is Heaven and we need to be aware that it is achievable now through the Atonement with Jesus and the rest of creation.

Thank you for joining me, till next time, God bless, debi.
