Universal Reading: June 2023 1st Reading, Packed with PTSpD, Depression and TIME
When will we wake up and realize that it is over?
This is the first time the Reading has been so packed with this subject. Three on depression and one on Time. I do this reading from Chapter 10 of the book I wrote in 2019 about my understanding of the teachings of Jesus at that time.
These Readings enhance and grow my understanding of things that I had been taught up to that point.
By living this walking meditation of Jesus’ teachings, I have discovered things that have taken me out of this world and placed me in Heaven even as I witness the sometimes insanity and hell that we have created on earth.
1. PTSpD, Post Traumatic Separation Disorder.
Your PTSpD, also, will not leave you. It is part of the witness that life as we understand it as separate from God, is a mistake. With the Atonement in your life, it becomes understandable and bearable. It even becomes something to be thankful for.
It keeps us on task in the sense that we seek relief, not only for ourselves but for others as well.
Jesus shows us through the Atonement just how to do that.
2. Depression
Depression is the natural consequence of believing that we are separated from God. It is the lack of expression of joy and will chase you as long as you believe that this psychological world of confusion is real.
I am hoping that the ACIM Lesson that I share in #3 will bring some answers and relief.
3. Understand Time.
Time is given temporarily (which proves is unreality) by God to the Son to clear up the confusion of the concept of separation or betrayal. Neither is possible and as Christ (which we are a part of) grows in understanding of Who He Is and Who Created Him what appeared to be will fade away entirely because it NEVER was real.

Today I learn to give as I receive.
1. What has been given you? ²The knowledge that you are a mind, in Mind and purely mind, sinless forever, wholly unafraid, because you were created out of love. ³Nor have you left your Source, remaining as you were created. ⁴This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose. ⁵It was given as well to every living thing, for by that knowledge only does it live.
* Notice that we all/each have this KNOWLEDGE and that we CANNOT lose it. We may choose to IGNORE it but we will NEVER lose it.
2. You have received all this. ²No one who walks the world but has received it. ³It is not this knowledge which you give, for that is what creation gave. ⁴All this cannot be learned. ⁵What, then, are you to learn to give today? ⁶Our lesson yesterday evoked a theme found early in the text. ⁷Experience cannot be shared directly, in the way that vision can. ⁸The revelation that the Father and the Son are one will come in time to every mind. ⁹Yet is that time determined by the mind itself, not taught.
3. The time is set already. ²It appears to be quite arbitrary. ³Yet there is no step along the road that anyone takes but by chance. ⁴It has already been taken by him, although he has not yet embarked on it. ⁵For time but seems to go in one direction. ⁶We but undertake a journey that is over. ⁷Yet it seems to have a future still unknown to us.
* EVERY step is known by you. This is why we have déjà vu and premonitions, etc.
4. Time is a trick, a sleight of hand, a vast illusion in which figures come and go as if by magic. ²Yet there is a plan behind appearances that does not change.
* In the Urtext Jesus tells us that there is a Universal Plan that he and many others supervise to the best outcome based on our current decisions. It is fluent even in this memory for like Jesus has said “this is really all done.” BECAUSE it never could have occurred because only God IS and all that IS is within His Mind AS His Son.
³The script is written.
⁴When experience will come to end your doubting has been set.
* This sentence is confusing to me. Did Jesus mean “your doubting has been set ASIDE?” Possibly.
* Consider this, what if “When” was meant to be “The?”
* THE experience THAT will come to end your doubting has been set. THIS makes sense to me and aligns with the rest of the lesson.
* That experience will be recognizing Christ and Self in All That Is and knowing that He/Christ is innocent and wholly ONE within the Mind of God.
⁵For we but see the journey from the point at which it ended, looking back on it, imagining we make it once again; reviewing mentally what has gone by.
5. A teacher does not give experience, because he did not learn it. ²It revealed itself to him at its appointed time. ³But vision is his gift. ⁴This he can give directly, for Christ’s knowledge is not lost, because He has a vision He can give to anyone who asks. ⁵The Father’s Will and His are joined in knowledge. ⁶Yet there is a vision which the Holy Spirit sees because the Mind of Christ beholds it too.
6. Here is the joining of the world of doubt and shadows made with the intangible. ²Here is a quiet place within the world made holy by forgiveness and by love. ³Here are all contradictions reconciled, for here the journey ends. ⁴Experience — unlearned, untaught, unseen — is merely there. ⁵This is beyond our goal, for it transcends what needs to be accomplished. ⁶Our concern is with Christ’s vision. ⁷This we can attain.
7. Christ’s vision has one law. ²It does not look upon a body, and mistake it for the Son whom God created. ³It beholds a light beyond the body; an idea beyond what can be touched, a purity undimmed by errors, pitiful mistakes, and fearful thoughts of guilt from dreams of sin.
⁴It sees no separation.
⁵And it looks on everyone, on every circumstance, all happenings and all events, without the slightest fading of the light it sees.
8. This can be taught; and must be taught by all who would achieve it.
²It requires but the recognition that the world can not give anything that faintly can compare with this in value; nor set up a goal that does not merely disappear when this has been perceived.
³And this you give today: See no one as a body.
⁴Greet him as the Son of God he is, acknowledging that he is one with you in holiness.
* SCREEEECH!!! Hold on a moment! Be aware that, YES, you will know Christ is in all that you look upon and all that cannot be seen that is real AND that which is beyond your current awareness.
* However, you are also being taught what the ego is and how it displays itself and manipulates the mind that has CHOSEN to be separated from God!
* You will be required to figure out how to function in absolutely “tornado chaos” as you walk in the Atonement and awareness of the Son.
* This will be obvious to you once you have fully accepted the Atonement and had some “time” to live in it.
9. Thus are his sins forgiven him, for Christ has vision that has power to overlook them all.
* Remember that Christ IS you and All That Is. This means that YOU have become aware of yourself and see that IN All That Is.
²In His forgiveness are they gone.
³Unseen by One they merely disappear, because a vision of the holiness that lies beyond them comes to take their place.
⁴It matters not what form they took, nor how enormous they appeared to be, nor who seemed to be hurt by them.
⁵They are no more.
⁶And all effects they seemed to have are gone with them, undone and never to be done.
* RIGHT, however, while this is true for you, there are others who are still caught in the web of the story and that needs to be understood and respected so that proper behavior is chosen.
10. Thus do you learn to give as you receive. ²And thus Christ’s vision looks on you as well. ³This lesson is not difficult to learn, if you remember in your brother you but see yourself. ⁴If he be lost in sin, so must you be; if you see light in him, your sins have been forgiven by yourself. ⁵Each brother whom you meet today provides another chance to let Christ’s vision shine on you, and offer you the peace of God.
11. It matters not when revelation comes, for that is not of time. ²Yet time has still one gift to give, in which true knowledge is reflected in a way so accurate its image shares its unseen holiness; its likeness shines with its immortal love. ³We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today. ⁴And by the holy gifts we give, Christ’s vision looks upon ourselves as well.
* Therefore, you give the gift of Christ, of SEEING Christ in all that is. This IS Christ’s Vision!
* YOU, likewise, ARE Christ!

4. Post-Traumatic Separation Disorder and PTSD (I am not a doctor or therapist of any kind.)
PTSpD may well be the state of those going through the Atonement because stability and sanity will APPEAR to us to be INSANE.
Even while we see the insanity around us with more and more clarity.
PTSD is found in believing that what is here is real if God’s Love is not in it.

This is what I wrote in 2019 when I was first understanding the Atonement that I accepted in the early spring of 2020 just before the world came to a sudden halt.
“PTSD only occurs to those who are outside the full consciousness of the Atonement because all trauma is known to be false. This does not mean that you will not cry or hurt for the trauma, but that it will be more like watching a movie that you know is not real. You may get caught in the emotion of the situation or moment, but it will have no lasting effect.”
I have been diagnosed with PTSD because of my life “story.”
And I do have residual behaviors from previous trauma, especially when I feel I am in need of assistance. These, too, are part of the “story” and make up the language that I need to share the light that I am being given.
My closest recognition of PTSD was when I had a dream in which I experienced the fall that I had on ice by a curb that resulted in my breaking my femur and tibia. That was a “reliving” that I DID NOT want to experience again.
Especially at first I viewed life here as a movie and I knew it was not real. I knew that God IS and had faith that I would be guided and forgiveness was my mantra and still is today.
Four years in and I am regaining my legs, not only from the break but from other life circumstances that knocked the wind out of me and the rest of us.
As I gain my equilibrium, I find I am feeling the need to mix and mingle in life again. I do it with caution and I am learning a lot about holding my own emotional balance and still standing as a supportive member of society.
Today my resilience is greater. My ability to see others ego games is growing and my willingness to call them out is getting stronger.
We have to speak up about what we see that is hurtful or it will continue to chip away at our hearts not to mention our bodies.
In fact, I am not sure that Spirit is going to allow me, or others, to do anything less. Even while He moves through me and bears witness of my respect not only for them but for myself. Granted, I do not live daily in a life-or-death situation and at the same time one just never knows.
If we only have a few that step-up tragedies will continue because the rage about the mistreatment of the heart of the Son of God is not a matter to be taken lightly, and we each have an active part in every act of violence that explodes in ANY part of the Sonship. THIS is a result of the FACT that we are ONE ENTITY.
It is the small steps of looking within and finding the hidden knots of anger that we do not want to deal with that will heal what ails society today. Do not hold on to something and think it is ONLY YOURS. Because it is part of the collective and it will be addressed SOMEWHERE.
I am NOT trying to lay a guilt trip on anyone. I am just stating something that we each need to recognize and address.
Today, in the Atonement:
I walk in happiness, because I know that we are all free, and in joy because I know that one day, we will ALL recognize that.
I walk in peace because I know that God IS and NOTHING outside of His Will could be real.
My love for the Christ (of Whom we are all a part) is such that I can accept that He could make the mistake of belief in separation and that trouble could seem to go on forever for Him, but it is really just a nightmare that we can undo right now, right here, by accepting that God IS and being willing to see Him because He reveals Himself all of the time in the joy of existence.
We just have to let go of the need to suffer and
LET HIM IN OUR EXISTENCE WITH OPEN COMMUNICATION AND GRADITUDE FOR HIM AND ALL THAT IS.
The Holy (Wholly) Spirit is waiting to help us every step of the way.
