You could give me your definition of homie, so that I could better understand.
Does it mean different things to different people? I have only heard it from people with darker skin tone and it seems to suggest a club, click, or group. Excluding those that do not belong.
I do get the impression it would be an affront to many if people were to use it, in general.
It seems sort of like a special hand shake or salutation, reserved for certain individuals in one's life.
I mention it because you put it in a public forum.
Would it be offensive to you, for instance, if I used that term regarding people who back me up?
It would be a limited crew, exactly two, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but I would call them by any endearment I am allowed. They mean that much to me. And do not worry about my perception of lack of support. Their association carries a great deal of meaning and impact for me personally and otherwise.
If you do not want to respond to this, I am okay with that. I wish you only joy and prosperity.
Be well.
